I have my Tenere- well sort of. I will be taking possession of her full time the last of May. I traded in my 05 FJR, 06 FZ1 and 07 V star 1300 for her. I have some other items being added to the deal, but I needed to thin the herd some. So the owner of the dealership is allowing me Unsupervised Weekend visits! Yep she is already covered in Dust and Bugs, and you can bet, I will have more on her tomorrow!!!

Thanks! I will be going with the GIVI luggage, and I am planning on getting the adjustable windshield bracket. Probably get some protection items like the skid plate, More than likely I will go with JAXON parts. I live here in Texas, and being photographer, I can make a trip up there, and get some killer photos as well. My biggest worry is that Skid plate and the O2 sensor!

You can bet on the pictures, I have a friend that Owns a ranch with a Large herd of Buffalo I plan on getting a shot of the bike with them, I have no problem getting close as the photos shows. (The owner has since decided a full release be signed) I "conned" my loving wife into this one, She knows how much I love landscape and macro photography. I told her It would be so much better to have this bike. I could use it for travel to the WAY BACK areas. I got that look, but hey I also got the bike!

Thanks everyone! I had a great time on her this weekend. It was tough as nails to take her back to the shop. But it is nice to know more about the TENERE before I pick it up in June. The ride really cemented me even more. Only a few minor issues, that a bank card and a screwdrinver won't fix. I owund up putting 300 miles on it. The only malor issue I had was when I washed it, the left headlight lens fogged up. They are oredering one tomorrow to replace it. I took a picture of it and showed the Tech last night. (I teach the MSF course for that dealership, so they came to the shop at 8PM last night so I could get it back on the floor) The bke averaged about 46.8 MPG. I am sure that will climb after I get the break-in done, and get AMZOIL in the crank case.

I live in Killeen Texas. We have some great hidden roads here. I love to take my MZ Baghira on them. I can not wait until June 1 to keep the Tenere, and get it out on them!

That you certainly do. I just spent four days in the Hill Country and it was some of the best ridding I've ever had.

Glad you're getting an S10...welcome! :)

Thanks Twitch, I thought I knew this area, until I got my Baghira. I have found some incredible places on that bike. It's just too bad I only have about a 140 mile range on that bike. I kept telling my wife, If My FJR had knobbies, or if I could get a 7 gallon tank on the Baggie, I would be set. Between taking pictures, and geocaching, this Tenere is going to be one busy bike! I am working on a book called "Forgotten Homesteads of Texas, This bike will be the "mule" for this book.
