Hey everyone how goes it? I do not know if this was covered in one of the other luggage rack threads as I did not see it.

So I am looking into getting the Altrider luggage rack to replace the OEM one. I was curious as to what hard top cases it would be compatible with. I know it says it is compatible with Givi but I was wondering what other top hard cases it would be compatible with. I personally am looking for a top case that will hold a full face helmet. Any ideas how compatible the Altrider rack is with other top cases on the market outside of Givi?
I know nothing about luggage systems.

I can't help with the other cases, but I know it works well with a Givi. Why do you not like a Givi? Just asking..

I like the boxier looking luggage systems personally which they do also have. So I have nothing against Givi. I just am curious as to what else works. Kepeing my options open as it were.

Since the Altrider plate is aluminum, you could drill it to accept mounts for just about any case. I have the Altrider plate if you need measurements, photos, etc to help decide on your options.

the rack is compatible with Givi top case. I have one on mine. all you need is 3 pieces and bolt them right on. The holes are already there.

I switced out my homemade mounting plate to the Altrider. I do use Givi trunks
with the factory side bags. I didn't think the factory trunk had enough room.

Already had some Givi boxes from other bikes.

The down side is the top opening lids on the side bags hit the top box when opening.
There is enough flex in the lid to get past the top box. Or one button and the top box is off.

The Alttrider rack has predrilled holes for the Givi mounts that I bought through Twistedthrottle.
The only modification I did was to drill two more holes for some rubber plugs in the corner.
The box rattled a llittle without the additional buffer plugs.

I also like the cubby space. It holds a Slime air compressor perfect.

When I had the Yamaha side cases on I used a Givi 30 litre topcase I had kicking around which had a rounded shape. Just bolted the GIVI adapter through the OEM rack. The side case lids easily cleared the GIVI case no problem. Watch topcase width carefully.
