::008:: Best $120 I have spent in a long time, plus $20 for the external Sun shield. 100 mph, no effect on the helmet. Heavy rain, no issues. I have the stock w/shield. Fit was as expected compared to my Nolan. Strap needs a cover on one side. Weighs 3 1/2 lbs, same as my Trilogy. Good visibility. Venting is good, I can actually feel the air. So, I have to ask.....if theAFX has all these features....what is the appeal of the more expensive helmets? Considering most people seem to buy new helmets every couple of years, can someone educate me in why I should buy a $$$+ helmet? ::015::

I spent the same on my Fly brand DS helmet and it's okay. I really like the visor and it vents really well. My Shoei helmet cost much more but is quite a bit more comfortable. I didn't want to wear it on dusty roads so thats why I got the Fly and I'm happy enough with it.

Funny thing is the FLY Trekker and the AFX FX-39 are the same helmet. Small cosmetic differences and color choices, same shells, shields, padding. We sell a bunch of both, solid lids for the $120-130 price points.

I got mine on a special several months ago for $107. It's really surprised me. It works well while riding several bikes, from XR650R to a Stelvio and others with and w/o windshields. Over about 60 w/o a windshield though it rocks back on my head -- the only drawback so far.
