Well I finally got around to test riding an S10 today and wasn't surprised to find I didn't love it off the bat, I've got an 06 plate Strom and I tried a new Strom before hand that was light and fast and agile and the S10 was pretty much the opposite...... for a while but it got better and better and blimey it was comfortable so a deal is likely as soon as I sell my Strom but the cost of Yam accs is a bit of a joke (£150 for pillion handles!) are there any other makes of centre stand etc out there? If not I'll have to bite the bullet and buy new but it's worth checking!

You will have to go with OEM center stand, I'd wait for grab handles, they come up sometimes in ebay. Also, if you are looking at panniers racks, Metal Mule also come with grab rails, so that may be an option, again, only of you are looking for panniers.

Cheers, I figured that was the case, I'll pick up some panniers at some point and they are likely to either be MM or TT, didn't realise the MM ones had hand rails though, will investigate further! I have a Givi top box and adjustable plate so will for a top box rack also.

The bikes have been out long enough to find center stands from a motorcycle breaker. I've recently seen them on US ebay, but the UK has more breakers that specialize in motorcycles. I suspect you can find one for rather less than the dealer wants for a new one. No changes to the center stand from 2010 to 2016. Only the side stand changed to aluminum from steel, but I suspect those interchange too, fwiw.

Cheers Eric, nothing on UK eBay at the minute and most big breakers tend to list there. I was considering a bash plate etc, may go for a new stand and add a plate later

Thanks for digging that one out, they want $50 for international delivery, to be honest the cost from Yamaha isn't too bad at £140, I'd gotten the price mixed up with the headed grips (£250!!) Will have to decide on what Yam parts as opposed to aftermarket ones to look at.
