The S10 draws a crowd where ever you park it.

Deals Gap and no I did not ride the road, too many cops and fools this weekend. I did make it to the store for some quality people watching time.

Packed and headed out at 3 am Friday morning headed to Huntsville, Al

At the kickstand lodge campground Stecoah, NC, that is a good friend shown with his Moto Guzzi Stelvio, Italian beauty.

Fun weekend! 1330 miles logged and the big S10 handled it with ease.

It is ;) That is the wife's ride. 2006 S2000 model and a cream puff. Super nice car in the curves not so great a daily driver. She has it for sale right now. A shiny '12 Lexus IS350 has caught her eye.

It is silver with the black interior. She loves the roadster but misses the extra room of a larger car. I have friend with a '04 S2000 that has the supercharger on it, 365 HP at the rear wheels, it is amazing and eats clutches and tires.

Sebring Silver or Silverstone? Yes, there is lot to be said about the extra space available in a larger car. We LOVE our Mustang, but still miss our "S"!!!

Rod

(sorry for the thread-drift)

Hey Roy, We'd be interested in any comparisons you can offer between your bike and your friend's Stelvio. I think that is a sweet bike, and if the Guzzi dealer network were better here, I would have had a hard time choosing between the two. Did you guys happen to swap for a bit? or, have you ever ridden his bike? Did y'all compare stats? Just curious.

No we didn't swap. I will tell you he can ride the curves good and has been doing it for a long time and the Stelvio looks planted with him aboard. He said it's long slow and won't win any races but sounds fantastic (better sounding engine than the S10). He said it has a two eyar warranty and after that he will try for a Yamaha S10. He know's the Italian bike will never be as reliable as a Japanese model but said he had to try the Stelvio. He has his BMW RT on consignment at the dealer where he bought the Guzzi. The dealer he bouht the Stelvio from has a good after the sell approach and a good service department.

Seen you on 60 just north of riders hill with a group. We were headed south on 60 to riders hill. That is the only S10 I seen all weekend in 4 states of travel. We were headed home or I might have turned and caught up with your group. BTW right before we seen your group we had slowed for deer that just walked into the road on 60. When y'all were passing us it had just happened I was in like 2nd gear then.

Glad you had a great time, roy! I stay off the Dragon anymore nowadays. Too many riders think it's a race track.

The Cherahola Skyway is the way to go for beautiful views and nice twisties in that area, for sure! It's one of my all time favorite roads on many different levels. The campground there is really nice, too. That little gas station/deli in Tellico Plains, TN, puts together some Class AAA sandwiches and the women that work there like to laugh, joke and have fun with the customers. Southern gals-ya gotta love 'em! Very cool deal all the way around.

Have you ridden the road between Cashiers and Highlands? What a nice little slice of heavenly beauty that is!

I have ridden every road up there all the way to Virginia. I have been going up there since the 90's. We rode the Skyway twice just to stop on top and enjoy the cool air. Ate lunch at Kats Korner along the Tellico river. I will ride the gap but not when all the so called Slayer are there. I am a self professed "slayer hater". ;)
