Hello there. I am looking for slip-on exhaust options for my 2014 non ES. I have looked around and even searched this site. I see that the Arrow full exhaust is available but don't want to spend close to $1k or more for a full system. I see that there are 2010-2013 options but don't have the 2014 included. Did something change in the part numbers? I have even tried to go on Revzilla and they only have 1 option which is the Twobros s1r. I am trying to see if the 2010-2013 exhausts will fit on the 2014. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you and 9k later still loving the bike. One other question, has anyone with a 2014 s10 been able to fit a 2010-2013 exhaust without modifications?

I dont think there is any difference between old and new slip on exhausts. The change was the cat in the front of the system.
I use the Akra, but I got a good deal on it.

I wouldn't waste my money on cheap exhaust.. 2 Bros are mostly junk. It's cheaper to buy a high quality exhaust once. Consider the resale value of an Akrapovic vs. 2 Bros. You'll be able to recover close to 2/3 the price of what you paid for a new Akra when you sell it, compared to a cheap exhaust.

I'm a little bit disappointed that the db killer in the Akrapovic is not removable like they have in their other slip ons. It looks 110% better than stock, weighs less and the sound is slightly deeper than stock, but not by much.

I have been happy with a Yosh slip on. Quiet off the gas and sounds great on the fuel and looks good. A $300 cheap exhuast off ebay made it a no brainer for me.

If you want to spend $$$ look at Staintune and you will have one that never needs to be repacked.

I have bought 6-7 slip ons over the years for my bikes and all were quality pieces that held up under abuse. If they needed replaced it was rider error.

Has this been verified to fit on the 14 model? It looks like a Remus exhaust and is pretty. Do you have this on your bike? If so year?

Thank you
Yes, before I purchased, PJ's Parts verified with MIVV that it would fit. I have it, but have not mounted it yet on my 2014 standard, but from everything I can tell there were no changes to the 2014 exhaust after the cat and the mounting points are the same, so should bolt right up when I get around to it.

So got my birthday present in the mail yesterday. A 2010-2013 Yoshimura RS4 exhaust for my 2014 Yamaha S10 non ES. I decided to weigh both the new exhaust and stock.

RS4 8.8lbs

Stock 13.6lbs without exhaust bracket (probably the .2lbs difference)

It took about 5 minutes of normal tools (no specialty widgets) to remove the old exhaust and I thought wow this thing is heavy. I also tested the stock sound before removing it.

Stock 77dB at idle

I then installed the RS4 exhaust in less time and tested it's sound.

RS4 87dB at idle

Wow what a difference.

I also decided to take it for a short ride. It felt like it was in Sport Mode and the downshift sound made my already big smile bigger. ;D For those who have wondered if a 2010-2013 slip-on will fit on a 2014 Yamaha S10...it fits like a glove with no modifications. Hope this helps.

Video (Enjoy!) 9300 miles since April 2014.

staintune no longer produces their pipe. Myself and another forum member bought second hand pipes and made them fit: http://thetenerist.wordpress.com/2013/09/24/rear-shaft-drive-seal-replacement-and-staintune-pipe/
