Another Suzuki recently snuck into my garage, raising the bike to wife ratio to a dangerous 4/1. In order to lower my ratio and ensure good wife performance (and generate S10 farkle cash) I need to find a good home for my beloved DR650:

2005 Suzuki DR650SE

Great dualsport machine with 73xx miles that I've set up for a big rider with a nice open cockpit and stiffer springs. 80% of miles have been on pavement commuting back and forth to work, and the remainder on some fun dualsport rides. I just rode the sheetiron on this gem and she performed beautifully. It has been meticulously maintained with oil and filter changes every 1000 miles.

Lots of extras and upgrades, but I have almost all of the original parts as well. Most of these upgrades came from either Procycle.us or Kientech.com with input from them.

Body and controls:

Pro taper bar
1" bar risers
Acerbis hand guards
Lowered and wider foot pegs from Procycle
4.9 gallon IMS tank in natural color (You can see your fuel level)
Aluminum skid plate
Aluminum engine protection plates
Rear rack
Low profile tail light
Brand new Shorai lithium-ion battery (weighs less than 2 lbs)

Suspension Front:

0.48kg Eibach fork springs
Intiminator inserts
Superbrace fork brace

Suspension Rear:

8.5kg Eibach spring w/thrust washer from Kientech
Cogent dynamics reworked stock shock with added compression damping adjustment

Intake:

Airtbox top opened up
No toil air filter
Mikuni TM40 pumper carb

Exhaust:

Header pipe weld cleaned up
01 GSXR1000 muffler installed with midpipe kit from Kientech (this pipe is 10lbs lighter than the stock pipe and it never needs repacking. Sounds pretty good, not too loud)
USFS spark arrestor

Tires:

Dunlop D606 front with 400 miles
Metzeler Karoo rear with 400 miles

Recent Maintenance:

Air filter just cleaned and oiled
New front brake pads at 6900 miles
Oil and filter changed at 6900 miles
Valves checked and new spark plugs at 5700 miles

Specially priced for fellow SuperTenere forum members ;) at $4000.00

Sold my 2007 in an almost identical state. Had several offers both local and on ADV within days at that price. Good luck! :)

Nice DR, Maybert! I've got an '07 with a lot of similar farkles. Love the DR650.

That's more than a fair price. The Cogent rear shock work and Intiminators put it over the top, for me. The pumper carb really picks the bike up, too. Wish I needed another DR. I'd buy yours in a heartbeat. Sweet.

Thanks Fellas! I had a lot of fun working that bike up. I will miss it, but I just started customizing the DRZ400S I picked up last week and having a ball with that too. Gotta hone those dirt skills before the big Yamaha arrives :)
