My wife is 5'8" and not very heavy, I was just wondering what the passenger pegs and rear seat feel like from riders who have ridden 2-up. Also, how does it handle on regular roads with two on, obviously a minor suspension sdjustment would be in order. I always ride easy with passenger but ultimately, she will want to go for a ride (god bless her) and of course We will do just that. It looks like just getting on it will take some practice from her, its a little higher than My C-14 Concours.

My wife loves it. ::008::
She is about 5-7 and lifts her right leg straight across the seat with me on the bike, holds my left arm and scoots onto the seat and then using her arms and with her legs on the pegs moves back.

We had a FJR and she likes the big XT much better. ::022::

My wife is almost 5'10. She loves it. There is nothing but calm air behind me an she has a great view. Plenty of room. She can slide aft and not even touch me. Grab rails are great, stadium seating type position is great. She's constantly pointing out roadside intrigue and seems very comfortable. The stock seat is small but relatively thick. We just upgraded to bms seats and the passenger seat improvement is incredible.

I should note that I feel like the stock suspension is more than adequate for our weight. I dial the preload up to about 3/4 full on both end and the steering is wonderfully balanced and the ride is plush. If you forget to change the preload or just get lazy, the bike will let you know. It gives great feedback. I'm 185 and she is 130 without gear.

Thanks for the info. My wife has started to show interest. She jumped onto the bike yesterday and liked the ergos and seat much more than that of my previous rides. Grab rails were also a plus.

My 5'2" passenger loves the back of the Super-T and says that she most likes how solid and safe she feels with the big flat seat, height, and top box for a back rest. To ride solo long distances and use a duffel as my back rest, my top case is at least 3" forward of where most people mount them and she still feels that she has room.

The only negative she's ever uttered is that even with the higher rear seat she wishes SHE were taller so that she wasn't always looking at the base of my neck. We learned early on that we have very different memories of rides, as my view is to the front and hers is to the sides. After riding 50 years, that perception was a thought that never occurred to me before. We are constantly chatting on the intercom and I've gotten into the habit that if we're coming to a bend or braking I verbalize the word "braking," " left," or "right." Obviously not if we're in a constant set of curves, just if it'll be a sudden change to the route.

If your passenger is tall, she may have a different perspective on leg room.

Came back Sunday from a 2,500 mile ride from SFL through AL, TN, NC, and GA. Bike handles great 2up and loaded on the twisties. Raining on the Dragon so could not go crazy but later on other roads we had a blast. ;D
Stats : Me 160, 5' 8", her 134, 5' 4". Likes the peg position and the suspension. Hates the seat (too hard on her tail bone) Fixed with Airhawk :D. I hate the seat, sort of fixed with Airhawk. Figure I can do better.
Side bags : 15 lbs gear each. Plus rain gear and shopping crap in stuff sack on each.
Top bag :11 lbs gear, Cameras, etc.
Last bike was Harley Streetglide so Wife is still getting used to sitting higher up.
Check photos on Moonshine and US129. Wednesday May 9th, in the Dual Sport/Motard sections.
