eemsreno, I'm also riding to Alaska once again in June of 2012. I worked in AK each Summer as a Pipefitter for 5 years. 1983-1988, as soon as the snow would clear enough to ride either my Harley-Davidson FLH or my BMW R80RT, I'd ride North to Alaska. I primarily did the piping systems at Pump House #4 just North of Atigun Pass in the Brooks Range.eemsreno said:

You and Your Son Eric will have a fantastic time! I was fortunate I was able to take my then 80 year old Mother and my Son Seth then 4, to Alaska 10 years ago; Mom is now 90. She and Seth had an ever loving blast together. We went up for three weeks and I showed my Mom and my Son everything that I could think of. I am so very glad I did this, because now Grammy Stanley is bedridden most days with a live-in aide at our old family home. And sadly, she sometimes does not remember either Seth or I. Yet, I will show her pictures of the three of us up in Alaska a decade ago and her mind will come right back to her. It warms the hearts of we Stanley Boys!eemsreno said:
