I have riden the FJR for the past four years and long to get back to the dirt. The bike is in great shape and of course runs like an FJR, perfectly.
It has 42,000 miles on her, a top case , oversized wind screen, extended mirrors, and custom saddle for all the long days.
If for any other reason it would give you an excuse to ride the beautiful state of Colorado, or me a reason to ride to wherever you are.

Here's a shot of her in Jackson Hole WY coming back from Canada. 5000 miles in 7 days. Not quite and Iron butt, but it will make a callous.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I will send you more pics and details about the bike.

Now go ride somewhere.

TBar,
I just bought a 06 FJR in Greeley. I didn't trade in my Tenere though - I just added the FJR.
Maybe we can get to ride together sometime.

Very very quite. It would seem that everyone that has a Tenere wants to keep their Tenere. This would be the reason that I want one.

Tbar, good luck, we're all a reluctant bunch.

I had a similar bike (honda st1300) back when I owned my vstrom 1000.
I had to choose one bike, and the ST ended up going. Great road bike but it had it's limitations (no offroading)

I bought my Super ten on the early order program and have not looked back.
I did pick up a used VFR 800 that I commute with, but for touring duty the ST gets the nod every time.
It did well on our california trip, blog here: http://thetenerist.wordpress.com/2013/03/22/california-2013/

the ST is no FJR, long days can be done, but not in so much comfort.
Worthy trade off though.

I traded-in my '06 FJR for the S10 and couldn't be happier. In my book they're both sport tourers. The FJR has more of an emphasis on "sport" and the S10 more of an emphasis on "tour". I find the S10 to be a much more relaxed riding experience. It's a lot easier to maneuver in slow going and to push around the garage. The FJR always felt somewhat top-heavy to me and wanted to "fall into" turns. The S10 seems to have a lower center of gravity making it feel much lighter than its 75 pound weight difference. There's significantly less heat on the rider as well. The FJR was a barbeque in the Summer if you weren't moving fast enough. While the FJR had significantly more power, I haven't missed it.

Good luck with your trade. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

hello JohnB.
I'm thinking I will trade in my well-used Fjr on the best priced 'T" I can find in my area. Colorado prices are higher than other states. I noticed you are a founding member. I'm new. Can you tell me why some of my posts say "remove" with a red x? Did I do something wrong? Thanks for the help. Blues Bob

Hmm ... I don't know about the "remove" issue but this post made it OK. ::017::
Good luck with your trade!
