    Average fuel consumption

With stock Metz on a 2012 was getting 40-43 no matter what @ 10k miles. Now I fight to get 40 and hover at 38 mpg. Assuming US G's, Premium gas, I have a E07 Dakkar rear now though. Also, I reset the "Average MPG" each time I fill up. Not sure if anyone else does. Someone mentioned "Lifetime...

New Boots = huh, well that's a problem

its probably too late to exchange them now, but SIDI makes a boot that is hinged. Here is an example: http://www.mx1canada.com/images/D/16262030_side.jpg They are not the adventure boot that others might have mentioned. It's a dirt boot. I got a low top FirstGear shoe/boot. Low top was a...

Variation on the seat mod with pictures

I couldn't figure out the seat mod then realized it was based on a stock seat. My custom Corbin solved all the pressure point issues but the sliding was so problematic the seat was starting to wrinkle after a 2400 mile ride to cabo. The way they built the seat I could not see a way to modify it...

Highway pegs, stretch out and stop the forward seat slip

@Checkswrecks.. can you help me out? I just rode to Cabo and back.. 2400 miles. the worst of the ride was slipping forward on the seat. So in an effort to respect the "search" functionality on this site, I searched for Seat Mod, seat flattening mod, etc. I found lots of threads that talk...

Highway pegs, stretch out and stop the forward seat slip

Thanks, I searched moto werks just now, it came back with 3 thread and one was mine. Guess that's why I'm a newbie. I wasn't looking for a seat mod, someone was just nice enough to point it out (which was helpful).

Mitas E07 Dakars and Shad SH48 offroad

thought I'd write a review of my new purchase Mitas E07 Dakars, and for just for kicks I'll make some comments about my rear case which is a SHAD SH48. For the tires, I went from bald stock Metz'z which were amazing even at 120+ MPH on the street. Rode a level 3 rough fireroad ride on the bald...

    Heidenhau K60 versus Mitas E07

I went for the Mitas Dakars, not easy to find here so I ordered. Paid US $300 for the set then another US $40 to mount. I'll write a quick review in another thread since this one is about a compare of the K60's which I never owned. How long a tire lasts is not the most important thing to me...

    Heidenhau K60 versus Mitas E07

I was looking at the k60 scout. The available size is •Scout 150/70 B 17 M/C 69T TL (from their website). The 'b' in the tire size apparently is the speed rating, making it rated for us 31 MPH. Glad I checked this because was about to revzilla a set. if 31 mph is the rated safe speed my...
