Yamaha OEM black top case SOLD

I sold my Tenere on a whim and forgot to include the top case with the sell(to a dealer). It's sitting in my garage without a bike and I think it needs a good home.. I paid new $400, I am asking $150 + shipping. It has some light use nothing major, bike only had 5k on the odo. Lock is not...

This loose sand is gonna get me

Hope this is the appropriate place for this I have a 13' ST, we recently moved out into the sticks, 1/4 of our road is hard packed sand but the remaining 3/4 is loose sugar sand; some spots are deeper than others. Twice so far I have had the rear slide out to my left or right, luckily for me my...

Not IF, but WHEN, you go down on a new tenere.

::025:: I've ridden cruisers, threw my lot in with liter bikes and experienced the beginning stages of time travel but I finally laid her down, with the Tenere And my pride is oh so sore. 8) We pulled into a publix near the end of a ride to load up on some groceries, I have the...

    Bike shut off on me.

Appreciate it guys, as long as it's nothing serious, going to keep on riding.

    Bike shut off on me.

1200+ trouble free miles from brand new. I was in 2nd gear trying to catch a green from a notorious long light, did a medium pull in 2nd gear, traffic started to stop up a head pretty abruptly. I had to use medium application of the brakes, nothing crazy. I was down to 20 mph, and figured I...

    This bike is to slow

Well that's the good thing about "points" or "opinions" everyone has got one. Might I ask what bikes you ride or have ridden? Someone with an expert opinion on other forum posters skill sets surely has tamed the various expert level bikes with some mileage to show for it, no? We need to see...

    This bike is to slow

Ever ridden a liter bike? I don't think slow goes in the same sentence. My work takes me to south Florida quite often. Poorly ridden stretched hayabusa's with led kits aren't much too worry about. I don't doubt the super cars that call south florida home could out run a liter bike. I would...

    This bike is to slow

+1 I rode a CBR 1000RR prior to the S10, there wasn't a vehicle on the road, save for a few supercars, that could match it for sheer power. I don't understand some peoples fascination with speed on a motorcycle. "You can get to 100mph super quick!" You also are breaking the law, super quick. The...

    This bike is to slow

I came from a 08 CBR 1000RR. The acceleration was so severe, one might question whether you could, in fact, time travel. The highest speed limit in the U.S I believe is 80mph? I could do 100 mph in first gear, acceleration gets old quick, and at a certain point you end up breaking the law. I...

The clutch, and getting the bike rollin'

My clutch was set to '3', I moved it to '1'. So my engagement point is a little higher like I was use to on my old cbr 1000rr. 3 made it feel really close to the grips. I know it doesn't fix the underlying problem of the gear and possibly needing a flash but it helped a little. I appreciate...

The clutch, and getting the bike rollin'

Maybe it's just me and maybe I am being an uber paranoid owner. I have driven cruisers to sportbikes, this is my first ADV bike. I know how to get a bike moving, not enough fuel causes a bike to lug, possibly stall etc etc. When I taking off in 1st gear on the Tenere, I have to really give it...

    Slight metal clank on rev...

Thanks to the both of you. I think the fact I really really love this bike, and the fact it cost a pretty penny really cranks my OCD :)) so the slightest "what was that" has me checking.

    Slight metal clank on rev...

Is what I am describing ill advised to do? I always preferred if I am coming to a stop because of traffic and traffic starts moving to keep it in second and rev match to keep on going smooth. The alternative being coming to a complete stop, 1st gear, and start going again.

    Slight metal clank on rev...

I absolutely love this bike but I am OCD. Twice now when I have been down shifting to come to a stop, i'll end up in second gear, clutch in, coasting to come to a complete stop. The cars start to move, I have some speed still, i'll continue on in 2nd by reving and letting the clutch out. Twice...
