How to remove and replace front turn signals on gen 1 Super Tenere.

I have the factory manual, but this does not seem to be in there... I don't want to break things, and it's really hard to see what I'm doing. Any suggestions? Thanks! - Bart

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Over the last few weeks, I've added a custom-fitted heated Corbin seat, Zumo GPS and Sharkskin tank pads. Rode 1100+ miles over the Memorial Day weekend - new seat is great. Their ride-service is amazing - no extra cost, and the craftsman carves it to fit. The fellow who did my seat had worked...

Rumbux system experiences, pros & cons?

I'll chime in as well. While I've managed to avoid dropping the bike while riding, someone ran into my Tenere in work parking lot and knocked it over and into the brand spanking new BMW cage next to me. The Jesse panniers took out the door and then the bike dropped into the Rumbux. Damage to...

Anyone swap coil retaining bolts for Allen heads?

While changing plugs a week ago, I found the bolts that retain the ignition coils on top of the plugs annoying to remove with a box end wrench; there are a lot of turns, and there's no clearance above for a socket, let alone a universal or ratchet. This is particularly true on the right hand...

    Tenere overall balance

On a flat road, my 2013 w/ panniers, bars, etc. rides straight w/o hands on the bars. Any crown on the road, however, will change that, and how much depends on the tire profiles and how worn flat they are from commuting. - Bart

    Fuel tank capacity

I once ran my 2013 ST out of fuel when she was relatively new... I got about 45 miles after the gauge started blinking; since I do a lot of fast freeway commuting I get about 40 mpg typically. The blinking starts about 170 miles into the tank; I fill on the side stand to the bottom of the fuel...

    Tire time?

I'm running Michelin Anakee 3s - almost all commuting on SF Bay Area freeways, but also offers very acceptable traction on dirt roads. - Bart

    California road trip

First, decide what kind of time schedule you want to keep, and what kinds of roads you want to ride. Check out the trip planning board on adv rider; lots of good ideas there. Slabbing it (interstates) is really boring, so chose accordingly :) ::001:: - Bart

    S10 Enhancement Plan

I've been very happy w/ Jesse panniers and Rumbux crash bars & skid plate. Both are rugged - someone backed into my bike at work and tipped her over into a BMW sedan(3 week old) and then onto the ground. Paint scuffs were the only problem.

It's home! But already a question!

The only bit of mine I've ever washed of my gray 2013 is the windshield to remove bugs, and the light covers. Otherwise, the bike gets clean in the winter riding in the rain, and dusty in the summer. I've not washed any of our vehicles due to the drought here in CA. - Bart

Best place to find side crash bars and skid plate?

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

I got a new Anakee 3 rear tire today after the stock rear tire lasted 14000 miles; I replaced the original front about 1000 miles ago. Lots of high speed commuting up and down 101 in the SF Bay area, not nearly enough twisties and off-road fun. - Bart

    Cyclopes LED replacement bulbs...

I ordered a kit yesterday. FYI, there's a discount code on the adv rider web site for 10% off. I have the Rigid light bar installed, but I cannot use that at night w/o blinding any oncoming drivers. Since I'll now be commuting in the dark each evening, a little extra help w/ lighting that I...

    Yikes!

Many years ago I bought a new GS550E and took it home - it was great fun. I wondered why the front brake travel changed after I'd turned the wheel and rolled backwards into a parking space... turned out the nuts on the front axle caps were loose - they'd never been tightened when the bike was...

    OEM BATTLEWINGS

I just replaced the front BW w/ 11k+ miles; I'm using Anakee 3 now. The stock rear BW is good for another couple of months. I commute here in the SF Bay Area - just haven't had a lot of time for fun trips. The stock BW have been reat on the street - the Anakee feels even more rock solid and...

What is it about your ST that makes you smile?

I like my Super Ten because it is comfortable, handles low speed threading through tight spaces, has plenty of power, rides planted at 100 mph, ... it really is an all around universal motorcycle. W/ the Rumbucks crash bars & skid pan, Jesse panniers and Rigid driving light, it's a pleasure to...
