What was the tempature of your commute to work today on your Tenere ?

Down in Florida this morning it would have been about 24F....had I rode the S10. Trying to shake a cold for a couple weeks and opted for the Accord. However, tomorrow is shaping up nicely...

For Sale / 06 FJR trade for Super Tenere

Might be interested in working something out. I have a 2012 blue S10 with 10k miles. Has nearly new Anakee III tires, Coretech quick release tank bag, yamaha aluminum skid plate and crash bars, Parabellum windshield, Wunderlich bar risers, tank scuff pads, oversize kickstand pad, and throttle...

My new S10 sounds like a bucket of bolts!

I always thought it sounded like a jet turbine...with a fistful of loose bolts circulating around in it. If you ever take a spin on it with a half helmet or no helmet you will swear that it is going to grenade before you get it home. That's why they make ear plugs, eh? Odd sounds but...

    Bates Boots

Just got a pair of the Bates boots but have yet to use them. I have been wearing the tan colored Magnum military lace up boot for years and love them. They are not the Gore-Tex lined ones but are very comfy for riding and walking. Seem to be cooler with the tan color which keeps the feet a...

    Riding in the Wind

My Harley Street Glide plodded along nicely in the wind. Pretty much plodded everywhere it went, come to think of it! The worst was my Ducati 900SS-SP with the full fairings. Fairly light weight and the fairing acted like a sail in the cross winds. Did a 200 mile loop last Saturday on the...

    HA-HA - Look what I found

You will probably be amazed at the complete lack of suspension, especially compared to the S10! Looks like a nice find and appears to be complete and unmolested. Congrats! Rick

Gentlemen I traded in the Tenere

While I really like my Scrambler for running around town and rural riding, the Tenere definitely gets the nod for high speed comfort. Added a Dart windscreen to my Scrambler that helps wind blast quite a bit. Anyway, congrats on the new bike and enjoy!

Gun Owners, do you carry on the bike?

Carry a Glock 21 or 36, .45 cal, in either the saddlebags, tank bag, or in a Maxpedition side pouch. As they say, "I don't leave home without it!"

    1973 TR5MX Triumph

Those mufflers are actually pretty scarce items and are rust free. Don't look near as goofy since I put them back on the way they belong.... My neighbor will appreciate mufflers when I am tilling my back yard with it!

    1973 TR5MX Triumph

Just picked up a 1973 Triumph TR5MX 500 cc single cylinder dirt bike last weekend. Still has the original Dunlop knobbies on it as delivered, although a bit rotten. Makes the S10 seem absolutely civilized by comparison. Very little work needed to bring it back to life, I hope! Then I will...

    New Member in North Florida

Welcome to the group, Dave. I am over here in Panama City. We will have to get together for a ride after Christmas (when life returns to normal). We like to make the trip over on Highway 20 to Hosford and then down through the forest to Carabelle. Just starting to explore the dirt...

    New owner from NE Florida

Welcome to the group, MooMoo. Greetings from Panama City. Hope you enjoy your S10 as much as I have been enjoying mine. Only drawback to Florida is the roads are so stinking straight that the tires wear square pretty quick!

Crash on Dragon captured on camera. Yet again and this one is pretty rough

I went there several years ago and, frankly, it scared the crap out of this Florida boy! Had a moron in a Subaru that was racing with his buddy cross the center line and nearly hit me....but my buddy wasn't so lucky. Totaled Sprint ST and Subaru. He got a broken arm and I lost the desire to...

Sargent, letter from the President, Re: Tenere Updates

Glad to hear that the foam was updated to something less brutal for my tender spine. I tried one and returned it after 2 weeks. Great shape, outstanding quality but just too darn stiff. Looks like I will be reordering!!

Do you wear a 'flip up type' modular helmet ? What brand ?

I have tried on several modulars but I am cursed with an Arai only shaped head!! All had a nasty pressure point on the forehead. May try that new Arai open face with the flip up shield, if I can find a place to actually try one on before I buy.

    Florida Check-In

I have ridden dirt in the past on a mixture of bikes ranging from an old Bonneville that I put knobbies on all the way up to a 390 Husky. The Husky was a whole lot lighter than my Yamahog and blistering fast. I figure the substandard Bridgestones won't last more than 4k and am looking into the...

    Florida Check-In

Hey there! New S10 owner in Panama City, FL. Trying not ignore my Triumph Scrambler since I got the Tenere but it's been tough! Looking for a place to ride around here that isn't just sand as I discovered last weekend that the stock tires are lethal in this good old Florida sugar sand...

New S10 owner in NW Florida

Picked up my Tenere a couple months ago, and of course it rained for two months. Had to sell the Street Glide due to back surgery but this S10 is so smooth..... Looking forward to finding some folks to ride with up here in northwest Florida. This is probably motorcycle number 29 in my debt...
