Why does the right footpeg lack the slider ?

Long story short - %subj% (didn't realize it until someone asked this in the chat - checked in the catalogue - weird ! left footpeg has a slider, and the right does not). Googled it, googled it here too, failed to find an answer. Suppose ST is asymmetric soooo..... the right side touches ground...

    ABS unit

Yeah, I've seen it, but I'm about to do the opposite - older unit on a newer bike. However, seems like this will also work, since all the ABS units are compatible with the same set of ECU.

    ABS unit

Well, in theory. Follow my logic: Partzilla states that ECU p/n 23P-8591A-70-00, being the most modern older ECU revision (-70- is for design changes inside the gen, newer gen start with 2BS-) is compatible with 2012 and 2013 year model bikes. In the same time 2012 was the last year the older...

    ABS unit

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. Turns out that Yamaha used to install ABS p/n 23P-85930-09-00 from 2010 to 2012, and from 2013 until the end of manufacturing the new p/n 23P-85930-19-00 was installed. So, technically only 2010-2012 years were the 1st gen years, and 2013 was some kind of...

    ABS unit

So, it's good to hear that later 19th unit fits 1st gen bikes, but what about vice-versa ? I have 2013 bike but I also have an almost new ABS unit for 1st gen, will it work on 2013 bike ?

    5th Gear Whine

Well, I totally understand that it's a bit too late to acknowledge "I have this too", mine s10 has this at 30K miles. Did your whiny 5th gear story got a happy ending ? However, considering the number of people staing that this is normal in both threads...

    5th Gear Whine

I'm terribly sorry to resurrect this old thread, but... I'm a happy owner of 2011 1st ed s10 whining when on 5th gear, and I've just found it googling. Exactly my case - I'm hearing noticeable whine at about 77-85 kph, then it goes away when accelerating beyond this speed. No other gear does...

Losing rear brake after a good bleed.

My country is out of its jurisdiction, as the country of origin is - my bike is imported from Japan, I'm the third owner.

Losing rear brake after a good bleed.

Just found this thread, same here on my s10 2011. Looks like it's spiralling up. I'll tell you more guys - half a year ago I was looking for part on the fog lights kit, and found a disassembled s10 owner that had spare ABS unit that time. I've just contacted him and he said "yeah, I'm still...
