Thanks for the info on the double sided tape. I figured it wasn’t important and put everything back together this morningI saw the rubber pads on the old stay and ordered new ones since they were only a buck. The side pieces that have the turn signals mounted on them sit on top of the pads...

Does anyone know what Item 31 (double sided Tape ) in the diagram below is supposed to secure? I don't see it on my original Stay and the diagram is not clear. There is only one listed so it is either not symmetrical with the right side or perhaps it goes somewhere on the neck of the Stay.
