Trouble with ADV Monster dimmer switch and Rigid SR6 light

On the Skene Designs website they have a large warning that their dimmers will not work with Rigid industries Dualys manufactured after July 2013. It doesn't mention any of the other rigid products but it may be something to do with the lights and not the dimmers. Iain

Lost - No just geographically confused

Had the day off work today so decided to head out for a bit of a ride. The plan was to take in some favourite sealed roads and a short stretch of dirt on the way home. Sometimes things don't go to plan. First stop was at one of the local dams. It was shortly after the dam that things began...

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

I have forwarded all the emails I had with my local distributor to Altrider. These emails were for two issues including the clearance issue (the other one related to some minor staining I had on the bars). Altrider responded to the staining but not the clearance issue. I then specifically...

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

That was one of the first things I thought when I put them on. Checked and it is seated correctly.

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

I'd love ot have that much clearance. I had about 1/8 inch (3-4mm) until we fitted the spacers, no way I was getting a pinky in there. Iain

Sidi Adventure Gore-Tex Boot - low price

Got a pair of Sidi Adventure Gore Tex about a week ago. I'v ridden in them everyday since and it has rained all bar today. No long extended rides in the rain yet, just a half hour or so but the kept my feet perfectly dry so far. I know not a real good test. On the fit I think they a bit on...

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

Just an update on this matter. I got onto the Australian distributor of Altrider crash bars and they had a look at mine. They agreed that the clearance was too close and with one of the directors of the company we fitted a new set. Exactly the same clearance. ::010:: He had a good like at...

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

Thanks mate. I have gotten onto the distributor here in Oz and they are chasing it up with Altrider. If I don't here anything fairly quickly I will go directly to Altrider myself like you have suggested.

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

Thanks for the responses guys. Seems like it's 50-50 whether they are close or not. I'll take the matter up with the supplier and see what happens. I was pretty careful on the install so don't think I did it then and I haven't taken the side cover off since I put the bars on. I tried that...

    Altrider crashbars clearence from bodywork

I'm wondering if anyone with Altrider crashbars on their ST can tell me how close the right hand bar is to the front of the bodywork of the bike. I have just recently fitted a set and have found that the clearance between the bar and the bodywork at the very front is only about 3 mm (1/8 inch)...

    2 Days in Northern NSW

off mid week and thought this would be a good opportunity to take it for a run. The plan was to leave home in Brisbane and head down to Northern NSW and do a loop back to home. I made a leisurely start to the run and didn't get away till about 8.30am. Just south of Beaudesert a heavy fog set...

    Yamaha pannier locks?

The screws are an anti tamper t10 torx. A normal t10 torx wont fit but you can buy the security or anti tamper t10 at any half decent tool shop. Should only cost a couple of bucks at most. ::008::

Is a big bore adventuee to much for a new rider?

Just my 2c worth but I think the more off road he wants his adventure riding to be the better it would be to stick with something smaller. I agree that the S10 can go a lot of places in the right hands, but a good 650ish dual sporter will go there easier and with less expense in a lot of cases...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Fitted the SWM Alu Rack and Wasp Windscreen bracket that arrived yesterday. Had to take it out for a bit of a test ride after that. The windscreen adjuster seems to do the job. Still a bit of buffeting but a lot less than before. Wasn't a good day to try to get the adjustment right as there...

    New Tenere Owner

Mate those temps probably sound about right. Currently around here it is about 23C (73F). In traffic at lights it gets to about 105C (221F) and the fan kicks in and it starts to drop. On the highway at about 65MPH it runs around 78C (172F). I'd say your in the ballpark and nothing to worry...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Took it for a ride up into the mountains. And when I got home there was a parcel from Motorrad Garage with a new rack and Wasp windscreen bracket. Yee Haa. ::015::
