There's plenty left in her no doubt but I don't know how things are your way but over here (Australia) and I'm pretty sure it's the same in the UK, there'd be a lot of Constable Ticket Happy's absolutely salivating and thanking God for answering all their prayers if that happened !! ;)

Thanks for that mate ... I won't be in any hurry on the trip and most of it will be spent on country roads and lanes so I'm guessing most of the time will be between 40-60mph so all good

Sounds like your 'problem' and mine are on the opposite ends of the spectrum !! ;)

The "labouring" thing is what I was 'concerned' (for want of a better term) about ... she seems happy enough cruising along in 4th or 5th ... I guess I'll have to find a headwind to use 6th ... but I guess riding around the UK, that shouldn't be a problem

This may have been discussed before so apologies for not spending the time trawling ... my girl is a 2010 model, so far as I know she hasn't been 'flashed' and still has the standard exhaust but me'eh, she runs sweet ... the other day I was on the motorway (110kmh / 70 mph speed limit) and she...

Been there myself a few times ... when I did, I noticed there were a lot of 'empty' webs around the place but the pies were pretty tasty so I didn't pursue that thought any further ;)

It's also on my bucket list but not on this trip ... factoring it in with the itinerary I've lined up just got too complicated ... but a mate of mine over here goes over pretty much every year so maybe one year I'll just tag along with him

The Isle of Skye is definitely on the itinerary ... as for Tassie and NZ ... they're still in the early planning stages so I've plenty of fun hours ahead of me lining all that up ... and the time length factor is not an issue ... I'll get back when I get back

Heading off to the UK to FTFW (Follow The Front Wheel) for 6 months

Definitely will do ... as it happens I've recently retired after 25 years of it and one of my best mates back home recently retired after 30 years with the North Wales wallopers ... so if I get pulled up I'll subtly drop that info ... with that in mind I'm quietly confident they'll "thank me for...

Heading off to the UK to FTFW (Follow The Front Wheel) for 6 months

Don't quite know how this website is set up so to save repeating myself I'll give my response on here ... by the way, nobody mentioned 'interrogation' but in the spirit of things, I'll put on an orange T-shirt, strap myself to this chair and turn the table lamp on ;) ... currently I'm living the...

I've been told I have to introduce myself because of the new anti-spamming policy ... quick note to self - this isn't a dating site - okay, got it ... the name's Steve, I'm ummm, WTF ?? 63 ?? ... when did that happen ?? ... anyhoo, I have a 2010 XT1200 that's about to be loaded up and shipped to...
