I just got done reading this, as I am installing mine tonight, and you're right. It just doesn't seem right. I wonder why the flange and retainer aren't built onto the headers instead of those springs, or why there's no clamps with the kit connecting the headers to the exhaust mid pipe. Odd

well if you throw me a quote later i will definitely consider it. any change in price on your carbon parts? specifically the fork gaurds and engine covers?

Dont necessarily need the rear tank, but trying to see what people are doing for the one-seater idea. do you think you can fab that concept windshield?

I did follow the directions the manual to the T, but even after it cooled down and was on level ground, can't see anything through the sight glass.

So I changed the oil for the first time today, and with a new filter, the manual states 3.59 qts. And it actually filled to the midpoint, but when I started the bike up, obviously I assumed some oil would be up in new filter, but I put the rest of the 4th qt. in the filler, but it still didn't...

The touratechs are ok, but I had my eye on the more enduro styling that acerbis has to offer

Ended up grabbing a pair from yamahapartshouse.net . Ended up selling them to me for cost. Saved so much money I bought the tank bag too. I'll be going to them from now on.

Haha that's awesome. I was looking at pictures and told myself there's no way it can only be 12L roughly each side. I'm calling my yami dealer tomorrow to try and pass that word so Yamaha doesn't look like a bunch of morons.

When I looked at the Yamaha site, the bags had a capacity of 769 cubic inches (left), and 952 cubic inches (right). My math is not that good but I'm pretty sure it comes out to a little under 30L (769+952*.016387064=28.2021L).

I was almost ready to pull the trigger on some Yamaha panniers until I saw the price for so little space (less than 30L combined!). What was the price for those that have the jesses system, and for those that have the TraX boxes, do you think you could post a picture from the front of your bike...
