    That was quick...

I missed your previous posting... I haven't been paying too much attention lately since life got in the way and I haven't been able to afford an S10 :( Admittedly, I haven't been to any Yamaha dealers locally but is it possible there is too much 2013 stock left? I'd rather see the same...

    That was quick...

I certainly hope it is just a rumour, but I'm not so sure... a local dealer here in Ontario still has one (their only?) 2012 Super Ténéré on the showroom floor, listed in the local Trader as being "*RARE*". Of course, they haven't budged more than $500 off Yamaha Canada's overambitious MSRP. I...

    That was quick...

Rumour has it that the Super Ténéré is discontinued in Canada for the 2014 season... anybody know anything more? Is it also discontinued in the US as well? Life (more like divorce lawyers :'() got in the way last year so my S10 that was supposed to happen never did and now it looks like the...

Yamaha Canada announce $300 rebates on the Tenere!

I wish I knew about either of these a few months ago... I'm just outside Toronto. I'm pretty much committed to buying in the US. Even at that price, it's going to save me $2k. Money's a bit tight for me right now, so $2k will buy some farkles. I don't want to name names (since I might need...

Yamaha Canada announce $300 rebates on the Tenere!

Or you could be like other Ontario dealers and do me a favour and sell it at MSRP because it's a "rare" bike... (look at trader.ca if you doubt this description). I went into my local dealership 2 months ago and would've been willing to pay $15k (+ taxes and license, of course) on the spot...

    Traveling in Canada??

FYI, the speed limit on backroads is never greater than 80km/h (50 mph), which would certainly explain why you were stopped doing 110km/h or above. Highway speeds are 100km/h (62 mph). In general, doing 20km/h (12 mph) or less over the limit will keep the cops from hassling you. Check section...

    Extended Warranty

Thanks for the heads-up, guys! I didn't realize it could be that low priced!

    Extended Warranty

For YES or third-party? This is less than one-third of what my local dealer is asking. I can't help but think this is a third-party warranty...

What did you pay for your S10 purchased in Canada?

Hmmm... I saw how easy it was to import a vehicle a couple of weeks ago when I was in the CBSA office. Fill out the RIV form, pay your taxes, and you're on your way! If there's no duty, I'm now rethinking this. There's just too much of a price difference between my local dealer and what I...

What did you pay for your S10 purchased in Canada?

FWIW, I just came back from my local dealership... no discount off MSRP was offered, but he was willing to offer the Yamaha Extended Service extension to 3 years total for half-price. They did not have the bike in stock, but said it'd be less than two weeks from order to delivery. Apparently...

What did you pay for your S10 purchased in Canada?

Isn't there another 6.1% duty on that because it's not manufactured in the US, Canada or Mexico? Adding in that plus the $195 RIV fee, you're looking at $14518.50 before taxes, not including the cost of any "hassle" of getting to the US, etc. I think I just talked myself out of heading to the...

    BMW v YAMAHA

The S10 is most likely my next bike... I'm coming from an F800GS that met a fateful demise at the end of last summer. I loved that bike. I put almost 15,000 miles on it in just over a year (and I live in Canada where we have winter for 4-6 months) with one minor issue covered under warranty...

    BMW v YAMAHA

As far as I'm concerned, there's room in the market for everybody! Ride what you want. With competition in the class, the end result is better bikes for everybody, regardless of what brand they choose to ride.

My S10 Photo Essay - aka FARKLES...GOOD!!! (pic heavy)

Wow, those Touratechs look nice! I had the SW-MOTREX Trax system on my F800GS and really wasn't impressed with them. I could live with them not being watertight, but they were also very flimsy.

I wish I knew about the Madstad when I was suffering from windshield issues on my F800GS :(

    Yamaha Canada Pricing

For what it's worth, BMW's 3yr warranty is unlimited mileage as well. I did have to use it in my second year of ownership due to a leaking oil pan gasket, so it was great to have it. Unfortunately, I wrote the bike off at the end of last summer, hence the reason why I'm looking at the S10 now.

No worries. It makes sense now... yeah, MSRP is $16,499. Excellent on the warranty as well!

    Yamaha Canada Pricing

I've only seen the blue one in pics and I think that's the colour I want. Thanks for the offer! Ontario is still flat and sometimes boring... they've seemingly paved most of the province now :) What do you mean by "MSRP is/was 7.5"? 7.5% over cost? As for the three year warranty, is this...

    Yamaha Canada Pricing

So... back on topic... what's a good OTD on a S10 price for Ontario? I'm getting close to make a deal if I can get a deal now. I'm in the GTA.
