    Accelerator Module for Gen1 S10

Accelerator module plugs in-line with the bikes air temp sensor and tricks the bike into running richer. The primary benefit is smoother throttle response. This type of module for a BMW was reviewed in MCN a while ago and got good feedback. I had this on my bike for several months and it does...

Accelerator Module - alternative to Re-flash or PC

As we all know, the fueling on the S10 can be improved many ways including Re-flash, PC, PC w/AT, air screw adjustment, CO mode, etc. For me personally, I've been too cheap and too lazy to go for the Re-flash or PC route, although I did play with my air screw adjustment. So, when I saw the...

    New product?

From an excerpt that I saw from the MCN article, sounds like the main benefit is better fueling at low RPM aka smoother throttle response. (Seem to address one of the issues many S10 owners have solved with a combination of air screw adjustment, CO adjustment, Reflash or PC w/ AT). The cost of...

    Heidenau k60 Scouts

I got a set of K60s from Jaxon a couple months ago and now that I’ve got about 2K miles on them including a trip to Death Valley, I though I’d add my $0.02. [list type=decimal] Yes, there are some vibes under 30mph on pavement, but not a big deal. Pavement grip and handling are much better...

    Test ride scheduled this weekend

::026:: I was initially a little disappointed with the motor because it felt tight a slow revving. But after a few thousand miles things loosen up quite nicely and now it's a lot more free revving. Still pulls like a tractor at low rpm, but is also quite zippy (especially with the fuse mod)...

Anyone removed OE heated grips (Without breaking them)

I separated my OE grips from the heater core portion, but I had to destroy the grip to do it. I wasn't happy with how hard the OE grips were, so I removed them and installed some softer grips. I can tell you that the OE grips are glued/molded onto the portion of the grip that has the heating...

Weeping/leaking clutch reservoir on the S10

Update... Pulled the cap on my reservoir this weekend and look what I found. The gasket was all buggered and the oil level was getting low. I've never opened it up before, so not sure how it happened. Could the dealer have messed it up when they were assembling the bike? Dunno, seems like a...

Weeping/leaking clutch reservoir on the S10

Mine does the same thing. Got my bike last August and it now has 4k miles. The leak is really tiny though. So far, I've just wiped it off and not really worried about it. However, I'm watching it and if it continues or gets worse I'll pull the cap and make sure all the mating surfaces are...

Penske Shock Group Buy: IT'S ON!

I'm really excited about putting this new shock on my bike. The bike already handles well stock, so I can't wait to unleash it's full handling potential with this upgrade! ::26:: Now I just need to figure out what springs/valves I'm going to install up front. Thanks for setting up this...

Fender Extenda and Bash Plate clearance???

Well, I"m not sure where everyone got their Fender Extenda, but I ordered mine from Twisted Throttle and I distinctly remember the product description saying: "NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITH SKID PLATES". So, the fact that some people are having clearance issues doesn't surprise me at all. I...

K60 Scouts fitted, bit vibey, anyone else?

FWIW - There is a thread on ADVrider about the Shinkos and some guys with big bikes (R1200 GS & GSA) have had issues. (Tread blocks coming off). Seems maybe the tires weren't designed with big bike weight in mind. YMMV.

    Tires, Recommendations Anyone?

How does the road handling of the K60 compare to the stock EXP? Any squirm in the corners? My one worry about the K60 is that the bike won't perform as well on a nice, twisty road.

    Factory shop manual?

In case anyone was wondering about the legitimacy of the service manuals on sell.com... they are unauthorized. I emailed Yamaha publications the link to the manual on sell.com and they confirmed that they are Yamaha's only authorized source. ::017::

    Factory shop manual?

I was very tempted to buy my shop manual from this guy. The good comments are nice, but of course people are going to be happy if they get a manual for half price. Ultimately, I couldn't figure out how this guy could be selling manuals for half price without copyright infringement. Would...

    Ran the tank dry

Yup, took 5.7 to fill it back up. Which I thought was a bit strange since it's supposed to be a 6 gallon tank. I wonder if the rest of the gas sits below the fuel pump or if getting 6 gallons in would require filling above the filler neck?
