Did you experience any excess heat from the motor? I took a 1090 Adventure for a test ride, and the two things I noticed right away: 1. how tall it was, seat height was way up there for my medium stature 2. the engine heat.

My dealer price matched the $400 I saw on ebay as well back when I had a 2012. Never had to use the warranty, these bikes are rock solid. I am back in the market for a Gen II.
