Welcome Traveler. I also live in east Pa. I did the same thing in 2016, bought a new 2015. Went Prudehoe Bay June of 2017. Went to Alaska in 2012 on an HD. More fun on the Tenere. Did a lot more dirt. Good luck, hope all goes well.

I have a 2015 bought new late 2016. No forks covers. went all the way up the Dalton in June 2017. Came back with a fork seal leaking. Warranty covered. I am going to put sox on for the BDR. seems like cheap insurance.
