I don't ride offroad, but I do ride in SoCal, and it's been pretty hot out here. Sounds good. No harm in trying, anyway. I'm at a service interval where it's time for me to change out the final drive oil, at any point, so we'll see what happens. If an actual repair is required, I may have to take this one to a pro (dang it!). I don't want to screw anything up that's beyond the normal maintenance items. Thanks for your feedback.Try cleaning it good and see if it comes back. That's not technically a leak, more a weap. Can be aggravated by lots of off road vibe and heat. Looks like the seal is on the inside, could be a tough one to do.
10-4, i’ll take a look at it. I’ve ridden through some puddles, so I had assumed that those puddles had left their mark on the rim, but you’re right, it never hurts to check. Thanks.Your tire and rim appear to indicate more leakage. Notice the 'drip trails' in the pic? I would verify the condition under the FD also.
Ok, I’ll keep monitoring. Thanks. If the leak is persistent after you have cleaned it, the only fix is to change 2 new Orings. The pumpkin has to be dismantled to access the Orings. (I have never done this so I can't advice). One of the Orings is leaking but since it is difficult to know which one, just change the 2.
Could be. I’ve been called trashy before.Me thinks seal #4 was leaking a little and you got lucky. Maybe a little trash got in it???
