No direct experience with this situation, but I would disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few days while you wait to get the ECU back. Then install the ECU and then reconnect the battery. Maybe that will clear the immobilizer fault and allow it to start.

Checking in... I have been riding a long time, but just added a 2014 Super Tenere to the stable. Last weekend I rode it to Arkansas, then up to KC for a BBQ RTE, then back to Birmingham through southern MO and west TN. Really liking it so far, also in the process of adding farkles.
