Went there on a bike run three years ago. Stayed at La Union Blue Marlin Resort which wouldn't have been my first choice and was a bit run down tbh. The upside was that Sunset Bay Beach Resort next door did some excellent food.
Did you get to visit Baguio or Vigan? Both are well...

I was thinking of the release of the front would release just to the foot operated rear for low speed traffic, which I believe you were trained to do, etc. But as I said, what makes sense to me may not be how it operates, so I defer to those that have the bike.
