I assume you mean the Ignition Key lock/barrel? I left that attached to the steering crown as shown. Although my key is getting a little worn, it continues to work normally. The steering lock part (turning key fully to the left) was accessible and given a cleaning and some white grease. Mr. BR

I'd say start with checking your error codes for the ABS... could be something simple like the rear wheel sensor. Mr. BR

A coolant change on these bikes really is easy and I just did this on my ’12 as I had removed the radiator for cleaning. After refill I fired up it up and with the cap off, I watched the coolant level as it warmed up… almost no movement until I saw ~160F engine temp and then the coolant started...
