Hi from sunny ( hard to believe!) England!

Welcome from Lancashire. I've had a cc issue twice....once was a loose battery terminal, the other was a poorly adjusted rear brake light adjuster after I'd lowered the rear brake pedal. Start with the easy, simple things first

    Summer 2025 European plans

[Thread started when Mike R wrote about buying a new R1300 then breaking his ankle and planning to ride in Europe this summer. The thread drifted off into other folks talking about plans to ride in Europe this summer... - CW] Thanks for all your kind thoughts I like my GSes and have had one in...

    Never say never! (New R1300GS)

I too have a 1300GS although I kept the S10 as well. It's a new to me bike which was due to delivery on 28 Feb. Unfortunately I badly broke my ankle the week before and the bike has sat in my garage with 0 miles put on with me. Since buying it I put on a set of Wieser Wizards, Givi rails...

    Daytona Roadster Pro Boots?

Thanks for all your positive answers I posed the same question on the GS forum (sacrilege I own a GS as well as the Yam!) and their comments were eaually encouraging. It makes spending such a large amount of money on a pair of boots a bit easier. Thanks for your best wishes bimota. I hope to...

    Daytona Roadster Pro Boots?

I was knocked off a bike about 13 weeks ago and substained a nasty compond fracture of my left ankle The boots I was wearing were Altberg Roadrunner and I believe they saved me from a far worse injury. I hope to get back on the bike in 4-6 weeks and am researching boots. Although I have been...

    Front Wheel needed !

Sorry but if you doubt the front wheel I wouldn't ride it until you got an expert opinion. Would you enjoy a ride thinking your front wheel was dangerous?

    GPS

I like mine mounted above the screen. I've taken off the orignal windshield and bracketry and replaced it with a Givi AirFlow. The mount is from SW Motech and was originally designed for the Gen 1 Super Tens although it should/adapted to fit the Gen 2. Works for me and no vibration. Mike

Thoughts on the 2024 BMW GSA1250

I am fortunate to own both a 2022 model GSA, bought new in 2022, and a 2019 model Super 10 bought new in 2021. I've had numerous GSes and Super 10s and love them both. At present both bikes have about 19k miles on them. As you would expect the Yamaha has been totally reliable and has had...

SORRY LADS i,ve gone to the darkside

Very nice GSA. It's getting harder to find them in such good condition and with luggage as well. Looks like a fair price, I had my standard GS (with ABS, but last model before they introduced the servo system) for 14 years and 63k miles. Sold it for a w/c model in 2016 when small things...

    Using intercom with ear plugs.

I have exactly the same set up as Rob and also have no issues at all hearing anything although I have the volume at max. Nearly blows my head off if I forget to put in my earplugs! Mike

    GSA or ST?

BMW give you a free driveshaft lube and check at 12000 miles in the US? Here in the UK the shaft replacement is free after 36000 miles but the lube and check is optional and has to be paid for I instructed my dealer when the bike went in for a service to check and lube the shaft (at my...
