10 years, 16 days came to an end about an hour ago.

I always wondered what I looked like in my 'Stitch and bright yellow helmet from the back .... Love all the pictures and stories from your four bikes. Hope to follow in some of those same wheel treads someday. My other half joked that the red S10 (she wants to call it Pumbaa from the Lion King)...

Pre-Ride Report for Pennsylvania section of MABDR

Rode the MABDR N to S over the Fourth of July weekend. I used Gaia GPS (I pay for pro - your experience may vary with the free edition) and the GPX routes from the BDR website. Never got lost or sidetracked by it, and if you are willing to play with the map layers in Gaia GPS, one of them is a...

Tail light works, no brake light

Don in Lodi for the win!! Brake light was stuck on. It looks like one of the wires that had been spliced into for the Dyna Flash had a break or a short in it. Went back a few inches from the plug towards the battery on the blue wire, and just replaced that entire section. Now have working brake...

Tail light works, no brake light

Well - bridged the connectors for the front and rear switch to no avail, which means its something worse. I'm not too worried about rodents (though I certainly feel for you). A big ol' orange tom cat likes to sleep under my car or bike, depending on the time of day. I'm through working on her...

Tail light works, no brake light

Gen 1 is LEDs. The Dyna Flash was (unfortunately) spliced in with vampire clips, and the original Yamaha plug was left "open" and unconnected. The wires have been repaired where needed with heat shrink crimps, and I'm a very big fan of dielectric grease. I'm going to try bridging the switches...

Tail light works, no brake light

2012 S10, 34,XXX miles, 3rd owner. My tail light comes on, but my brake light does not. I'm pretty vigilant on checking lights (and other stuff) every time I leave the hosue. Last time they worked I had ridden the bike into work, and got rained on at work, and for the ride home. They brake...

    Gen 1 Front wheel/Hub

Sorry for the length of time in the replies - I did helicoil it, as recommended. I no longer need a front hub, but thank you to everyone for replying.

    Front hub woes

I did end up having a M6 helicoil and tap in my home shop, so thats done. Let it sit last night with some red 271 before putting the rotor back on and TQing everything down. Just went for a ride, and the brakes are smooth. The new rubber helped, too. Thanks again for the suggestion @scott123007...

    Front hub woes

You know - I've used helicoils to repair spark plug sockets several times and had not honestly thought about using one here. Huh. Thanks! Now off to see if I have any M6 helicoils in my home shop somewhere.
