Yamaha's shaft-drive oil/lube is nearly $30/quart. WW has Valvoline 80W90 gear oil for less than $6.50/quart, and it appears to meet the Yamaha specs in the owner's manual. I'm only interested in hearing from anyone that can give me a legitimate reason NOT to use the Valvoline. I change FD...

Only 2 tanks so far, 240+ miles before low fuel warning and takes less than 5 gallons to fill (I need to calculate actual mileage), computer indicates 49.7 mpg. Sport mode on hwy, touring mode in town just because I find sport to be too herky-jerky in town.
