Making some progress... I think? Did a short test ride today and ABS is working again with usually no "ABS" warning light, except sometimes when I use the rear brake pedal lightly. Gonna ride it some more and work the ABS before I dig further into it.
Thanks, checked codes and first try I got a bunch, cleared codes and after a test ride the symptoms returned and got code 73- Difference between rear brake caliper and master cylinder pressure.
Last fall had the ABS light come on after I used the rear brake alone, shut off bike and restarted which reset it and no more problems.
Just dragged the bike out for spring and same thing, with high effort to depress the rear brake pedal at first and ABS light comes on. Front ABS works but as...
Done quite a few parades with the S10 and there were only a couple occasions when the cooling system wasn't adequate. During a couple parades with temps in the 90s the fan would run continuously as it couldn't keep the temps below the 221 F fan turn on point. For such occasions and human cooling...
I'm tempted, got 70K miles on my 2013 so it's not worn out yet, but the cruise control would solve half my sore shoulder problems (right arm gives out first). Due to poor balance and gimpy legs I pretty much need a sidecar to ride, I've got a subframe and sidecar already on my S10 so should...
I follow the FJR1300 board too and noted a post there about the FJR 2024 model on Yamaha Power Sport's USA website. Took a look over there and noticed just about every current Yamaha bike there in a 2024 edition except our Super Tenere. So this might be "last call", Cycletrader shows a bit over...
You want as much tongue weight as your trailer and tow vehicle will allow- Probably 200 pounds for that trailer, don't know about your tow vehicle but 200 pounds or heavier is common. I've hauled my S10, smaller bikes, and a couple sidecar outfits on a 4 by 8 trailer and even with the chock as...
Not needing adjustment ('til some pretty high mileages) is normal- My S10 was still within spec at 26K and 52K and my BMW F800S with similar valve gear was within spec at 24K, 48K, and 72K. Long Haul Paul didn't get his checked until after 100K!
My experience with Geico is that they would only cover towing my 19 year old VW to a VW dealership. Said VW dealership was backed up weeks for service and never wants to see my old VW again.
