    KTM

Just got a 690, awesome machine, but long distance (just did 220km) the vibrations (visit dentist to replace fillings) do get to you. When I get back on the sten, it is plush, like where is the climate control. But, in its defence, not fit distance, in its place, you will grin, a lot...

    Cooked Headlamp Harness

South Africa Yamaha's answer to the cooked wiring harness. I forwarded them a link to this forum, after they do not want to see warantees. They gave a similar attitude to spokes which failed at 2200km. With support like this, I could have just got a BMW

    Busted Crankcase!

Yes, it was me that had the hole in the sump with the rumbux installed. The rear drain plug is low, and just a little above the skid plate. I was unfortunate to hit a protruding rock in lesotho at the wrong place. I honestly reckon I would have had a lot more damage with a lessor plate. Rumbux...

    OH EXPLETIVE DELETED!

i had the heidenau k60, scrapped them after about 2500km. Just too loose off road. Went back to the mitas e07. Great grip all round. the knoblies do develope small cracks, but they don't spread much and tyre remains true. Mileage is not as great as the k60, but i prefer a tyre that i can rely...

PRICE CUT! Last Set of Rumbux Rear Protection/Soft Pannier Bars

Re: Re: Rumbux Crash Bars/Skid Plate/Light Brackets/Add on Upper Bars for Yamaha Bars Just updated myself on this thread. I was one of the said riders that damaged the sump. Deon at Rumbux really gave great support on this, and supplied me with a stainless steel version of the skid plate...

    Top Five Modifications?

Agree with all, varies by individual. 1. Rumbux skid plate (stainless steel version), with crash bars. 2. Wind protection 3. Tank bag and rear bags 4. Gnarly steel foot pegs. (Surprised had not been mentioned yet) 5. Auxiliary lights. Agree 5 is a short list, but can see the reason. Would...

Done the clutch mod, quite honestly this is the wrong name for this mode, should be attitude mod. You definitely get an attitude in this mode. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

    Clutch failure 16000km

no oil worries, if you leave the bike on the side stand, let it cool down, you can remove the clutch cover and no oil will spill. Pictures will follow, route has changed, but now I get another country to ride through. :)) Swaziland, mozambique, and maybe Zimbabwe before I return to RSA...

    Clutch failure 16000km

feedback: clutch changed, oils changed, filters changed. Appears as though not much grit gets through the filter, and cleaned the strainer at the bottom of the sump as well. The clutch was finished, but mostly due to the fact that I was forced to get to a form of civilisation. some of the...

    Clutch failure 16000km

I understand the old 125cc two stroke clutch dependencies, but this is not a 125, nor is it being ridden as such. I have been riding for over 15 years, in various categories including enduros (wr250f). I agree that the whole stack to be replaced, as there will be too much damage if a bleed...

    Clutch failure 16000km

Hi Was touring mozambique solo, and felt clutch give quiet a bit of slip. Stopped and checked scenario and realised that it is failing. With terrain that i was heading into, with large amount of loose deep sift sand, i found a local that could load the bike, travelled to the border, so could...

    Flying Brick

Just got my new softbag, and am very impressed with it. Quality is great, size is more than enough, adaptiveness is phenominal. The bag sits length wise on the bike, but you can fasten it sideways, backwards, or break into two. The bag splits into two, allowing you to have just the front, or...
