Sorry, too late for you to back out. See you soon. Okay, maybe you can. You'll be missed (bet you've never heard that before).

Nice! Wind management is definitely what I was wishing for riding the V85TT back yesterday. Stock really is lacking in that regard.

Yes, but the V85TT feels modern.

    V85TT for now

Agreed, I'm looking forward to jumping on the V85TT today to ride back and get my...um...never mind. Seriously, the V85TT is simple and just plain satisfying to ride. It has enough Italian style to not be dull, but avoids all the high tech overload so common on modern bikes.

2024 Romney Camp-N-Ride is ON for May 3-5

Time To Eat We are getting a request to provide the Ruritans an estimated headcount for the Saturday dinner. They are preparing a chicken dinner with two sides for $15. So many of you already know the drill. Please give a simple post with the number of Saturday night chicken dinners you...

    V85TT for now

Yep, I have roughly 50K miles on owned KTMs, and probably 100K on four owned Super Teneres. None of them perfect, but the KTMs have been more problem free than the Teneres. All of them great bikes. Ride whatever makes you happy.

    V85TT for now

Dropped off the 890 to have the front brake reservoir replaced under warranty. Having a dirty bike exposed there was leakage there. Service manager said to have it replaced. Sure, great. I pulled away on a 790 and returned it when the rear brake exploded. So went back and took the familiar...

3rd times a charm? No, but I still enjoy it.

What comes after the Super Tenere?

I can't relate to the wrenching part. I bought a KTM and pretty much hung up the wreches. Wrenched all my life. Never really found it to be the enjoyable part of motorcycling. I'd rather ride. Overall letting a pro wrenching on the KTMs has been pretty reasonable for cost and well worth it.

What comes after the Super Tenere?

Sounds like an Africian Twin is in your future. I once had the same chain aversion. While owning the S10 a future chain bike was unthinkable. My reluctance was overcome by a ridiculously low price in the big KTM. What the heck, even if it's the worst mistake ever, I've got no risk. FF...

What comes after the Super Tenere?

Your criteria makes it darn near impossible to limit yourself to just one bike. I'm at three and I think I have my bases covered. If you like the T7, the KTM890 is worth a look. Even in the non-R version it very capable off road, more stable that you could ever imagine. It takes very few...

tired of chit-chat?- post / view a picture only here.

That's ridiculous. There's no dual exhaust on a Super Tenere.
