Direct replacement as far as block. Adding the V-Boost setup is a PIA. V-Boost raises carbs 1 1/4" making throttle & choke cable mods necessary. Also slight interference when dropping carbs into boots with L.R. carb. 85-89 VMax ignition same as 83-89 Ventures. 90-07 VMax ignition same as 90-93...
