    Motor Chatter..

I have an SW Motech skid plate but the engine noise was almost as loud even before I put it on. Sounds like a very noisy tappet but may be cam chain slap as Kmasa suggests. Probably just normal for that engine since others seem to hear the same thing.

    Motor Chatter..

I have a 2018 and the noise of the motor is the thing I dislike about it the most. It's a very harsh and to my ear unpleasant sound. Once up to speed I can't hear it because of wind and road noise but the din and clatter at lower speeds is not at all appealing. Bike was bought new and only has...

    FT ECU in Canada

I had my ECU flashed by FTECU this past winter. They assured me over the phone that they could flash a Canadian ecu and that it would be recognizable to them by its different part number. Just to be sure, I taped a little note to it saying "Canadian bike" when I sent it to them. I got it back...

ACD Skid plate | Price drop soon

I'll be watching with interest. I don't see a listing for gen 2 skid plates on the web site though. Do they make them for the current model?

    Hello from the east coast

Yes I have. I just sent my ECU to FTecu, same company as mentioned above, and I still haven't gotten it back yet. It will be several months before I get to try it out, of course, and I only have about 600 kms on the bike, so the improvements may not be that apparent to me but I do expect good...

Hi Mimsey, welcome, I'm about two hours away in Moncton, also on a 2018.

    Gen 2 ECU Reflash

Did you remove and mail in your ECU or take the bike in? I'd like to have mine done but I will have to remove the ECU and I'm a little concerned about that. Anyone know how hard that is to do? I took a quick look under the side panel and it's not what I would call a quick and easy job.

    Hello from the east coast

I've learned that "Flash Tune ECU" can flash Canadian ECU's. I haven't yet had it done so I can't say how good they are. You can google their name for more info.

    Hello from the east coast

Hey Garry, that's interesting about the ECU flash. Odd that the Canadian version would not be able to be flashed. I haven't gotten to the stage of sending the serial number to the flash guy but I expect you have. Your buddy is lucky he's that close to a MG dealer; they are few and far between...

    Hello from the east coast

Hi James (or is it Rick?). I'm in Moncton, NB, not too far from you. We've had the same snow and cold temps so, yes, it's over for this year. I'm glad you find the bike so comfortable; that's a big deal for me. It has all the power I need, too and can cruise at any sane highway speed. Maybe see...

    Hello from the east coast

...of Canada that is. I have always admired the Super Tenere and with my MG Stelvio acting up and no dealers within 800 kms, I decided to make the move and bought a 2018 Super Tenere. I've only got 600 kms on it and the riding season is pretty much over around here but I plan to buy a few...
