Show me your bike loaded with tent camping gear

Loaded down for a death valley trip. Only 4 days with 2 getting there and back and two days of exploring death valley. I keep getting smaller gear, but still end up with that bag sitting on top of my top box. That's where the light food like chips and freeze dried food goes. Pretty much the...

    Scotts steering damper

These bikes are real stable, which is probably why Scott's doesn't make a kit for them. Personally I'd like one to deal with rocks when off road. Might be nice in sand too. It's not a $950 problem though.

MAHLE OC-575 Micro-Star Yamaha Oil Filter.

Can't tell from the angle of the picture. How short are they. I need 2.6" or shorter to fit with the rumbux skid plate.

Show me your bike loaded with tent camping gear

Good to see another tenere take on lippincott. That's a good one to check off "the list". It's certainly nowhere near easy In march the trail was in better than usual condition. Two 30 foot sections of softball sized river rock on about 35% grades, off camber two track with a 30 degree tilt...

Lightie - Cool Lighting for Camping

The problem I've always seen with solar powered gizmos for motorcycle camping is when to charge them. Typically I'm riding to the next campsite during daylight when it should be charging. I just charge stuff off the bike power then. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

Way better than vstrom in dirt

NoMorBills, I remember you mentioning how much lighter the ST felt than the strom that day on the 191. All along on the strom though I had been honing my skills. I kept thinking it's not really the bike as much as it's me and I need to development skills better. I'm thankfull for having been...

Way better than vstrom in dirt

I bought my ST to replace my DL1000 about 4 months ago. I had been taking my DL1000 adventure riding for 3 years prior to that. I've had that VStrom in all kinds of conditions; wide forest roads, rocky two track, muddy roads, gravel and sand. I did almost every kind of road out there, except...

Starting a fire the old fashion way..... how cool !!!!!

Wet, dry, hot or cold the best fire starter is a road flare. I've lit wet wood with a road flare. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

    mildly confused

Does it do it on dirt too or just on pavement? Mine did that on pavement at certain speeds. It's just a gentle reminder to go tear up a dirt road somewhere. ;-) After a couple hundred miles it seems like it tones down a bit. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
