    Radiator Fan Temperature

Absolutely right on all counts, @magic and @StefanOnHisS10. ...even the overthinking part. :) The cooling system obviously works. I find that getting into the weeds on this kind of thing a nice distraction. Thanks @sureshshanmugam for bringing it up. I've learned a lot from all the posts.

    Radiator Fan Temperature

I started my 2013 for the first time this Spring (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) and allowed it to warm up until the fan came on. I still have my cowlings off from when I took that photo earlier in this thread. The blades do turn as expected in a direction that pulls air through the radiator and away...

    Radiator Fan Temperature

Thanks, all. Yeah, I have to trust the engineers at Yamaha, but I would like to know their thinking. It seems that if that bottom part met up with the ring around the fan, and that the ring was a screen in that section, that it would better suck air from the bottom of the radiator. Without...

    Radiator Fan Temperature

Took my left cowling off to have a look at the radiator. I bought this 2013 in October and just now getting to know the insides. When riding in the Fall I also noticed the fan kicking in at higher temps than expected. Makes me wonder why this cover is on the bottom 3rd of the radiator below...

    Considering a 2013 Super Tenere

Hey Pilleway, Where'd you get your nice red striping and the Tenere tank decal? :) Also, I don't think I've seen those particular crash bars. They seem to leave your radiator a bit exposed, no?

Nicely trimmed out! As I mentioned just now in another post, crash bars are coming from the deceased owners storage unit. Not sure when but it sounded like that was a soon-upcoming task. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the tip about the missing side protectors. I hadn’t noticed. There actually are crash bars and I will get them when they clean out a storage unit that belong to the deceased former owner. Too bad they weren’t already on there. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Considering a 2013 Super Tenere

Yesterday, 10/30/21, I bought my 2013 S10. The former owner nicely brought it up to me from 30 minutes away (his wife drove separately). Actually, it was his best friend's bike and his friend died of COVID last November! :-( (The title was properly handled to get to me). It looks...

That's awesome. I hope you can keep up that record. But it seems you don't nee my hope to make it happen. :-)

    Considering a 2013 Super Tenere

I discovered that difference online between the 2013 and 2014. Good to know there are happy 2013 (and earlier) owners like you out there. I’m really looking forward to it. I made contact with the private seller today who is a great guy and is actually selling it for a buddy of his that died of...

    Considering a 2013 Super Tenere

Thank you, Stefan! I'm so impressed with the network of owners, and everything I learn about the S10 makes me think it's the wildly underestimated bike in the adventure class. Cheers, Mark

Thank you! I plan to do just that. Safety is #1 for me, especially as I get older. ;-)

    Considering a 2013 Super Tenere

Hello, I'm 59 years old and finally learned to ride a motorcycle both from a friend and his bike and an MSF course. It's something I've wanted to do as a kid when I grew up close to a Kawasaki dealership. The women in my life, starting with my mother, wouldn't hear of it but now I'm on my own...
