I'm on my fourth FJR and second Super Tenere and owned both since 2012. The FJR won't take me "comfortably" where I want to go in the dirt and the Super Tenere doesn't attack the mountain twisties with the FJR power I love. I can't imagine having to give up one or the other or owning anything...
Why would you ever come to a stop in any other gear than 1st? Every student that passes a 10 hour Basic Rider Course on my range knows how to stop in 1st gear, even in an emergency stop. Your clutch is already disengaged and your left foot has nothing else to do but tap downshifts while...
April is likely out for everyone on a motorcycle. It doesn't seem like the elevation should be that high in the Black Hills of SD but much of it is in the 5 to 7 thousand feet range and can hold snow into May according to locals.
I'm very interested and usually have a very light workload by the end of July. I love riding Colorado as my profile picture shows. I will be watching this thread and do believe I would be able to make it. The only wild card is that I may be building a new house this year and I do not know...
Well I've got it in my sights to get down there (from SE North Dakota) and ride the BDR-X some time in late August or early September. I might try to combine it with the Dakota Dual Sport Riders near Custer from Sept 14 - 17th. If my plan comes together I would like to ride the BDR-X...
The unbelievable reviews on the Dunlop Trailmax mission tires caught my eye so I bought a set shortly after they were released. I finally had a chance to install them before a Copper Canyon Mexico trip last April. All I can say is wow, I'm done shopping for Super Tenere tires as they are...
I forgot to post up pictures of the last nine bonus locations I knocked out on September 18 & 19th to finish of the GTOM.
I started out with Charles Lindbergh's boyhood home in Little Falls.
Next up was the Worlds largest ball of twine in Darwin.
The next location was a major blunder...
It’s a great gig. I've been teaching MSF Basic and Experienced courses in Fargo ND for 14 years now and been the site administrator for the last 8 of them. I've lost a couple of my West Fargo rider coaches this fall and will be recruiting a few new Rider Coach Candidates for the upcoming 2023...
That is unbelieveable. I've only tryed one set of 804 / 805 when I went to Baja four years ago. They exceeded my expectations in the sand and on the black top. They felt like sport bike tires on the black top and I had no problem leaning it over untill the fun meters (grinding foot pegs) were...
