First day over 50 up here so took a half day and put 111 miles on. Still kind of chilly riding through areas that have snow banks and I need to rinse the salt off now but it was great to be on it again.
They are also getting so expensive and advanced. The simplicity is gone which takes away some of the joys of riding imho. Also these new bikes are so expensive now. No wonder younger people aren’t getting into riding. It costs too much.
An extra gear would be great. I’m always looking for one once I get above 70mph on the interstate. Would certainly help the gas mileage too. Normal riding I average 45-47mpg (calculated by me not the cluster). On the interstate above 70mph that drops drastically which is to be expected but...
Do you remember what you used for the front spacers? Unfortunately it’s not looking like a new seat is likely to happen with all the other unexpected expenses that keep coming up. Might have to try something like what you set up. Thanks.
What changes have you made to the spacer? I did a trip back in September and was on the bike for multiple days and the stock seat with an air hawk pad didn’t work for me. I survived but was Uncomfortable most of the trip. I’d love to figure out a way to make the stock seat more comfortable...
Thank you for the info. I’m about the same size of you and I hate the texture of the stock seat as well. Glad to hear the Sargent worked out for you. Doesn’t sound like it takes care of the lean into the tank though without some modification. Been going between the Sargent and Saddleman and I...
Thanks for the info and congrats on the new bike. Was looking at the Saddleman too but seats are so difficult. A lot of money to find out it won’t work for you down a few thousand miles down the road. I know the stock seat isn’t really working for me though.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Sargent seat on the s10. I’ve seen a lot of old classified ads for them on here which makes me a little concerned about spending the money on one. I’m 5’10 and I’m currently running the stock seat and fluctuate between low and high when I get...
