I've noticed one difference with the S10 though:
My Tiger 1050, and every Triumph I rode, had really short gears and could have done with a 7th or 8th. The S10 however pumps along quite happily in 5th at highway cruising speed in Aus, 110klm/h. There are times when I forget to bump it up to 6th. But at least when you do, 6th isn't like the giant leap in gearing that BMWs have. That thing is like an Economy gear.
