Hello from Wyoming. Winter finally seems to be winding down and my 2016 Super Tenere won't start. Parked in the fall with a battery tender, now no go. Where's the best place here to ask for help?
p
Shot of starting fluid.
Nope. Tried to start it originally with a low battery. Read all the posts about how now it's flooded, crank at WOT. No luck. Got it jumped with a car and batter charger, lots of juice. (even pulled it 1/4 mile with a truck at one point) still nothing. Took it all the way down to the spark plugs, which is no mien feat, plugs are a nice light tan with no moisture. Put new plugs in it, hit it with ether, still no go. Acts like no gas and no spark. ECM and IGN fuses are good.
Yes, fuel pump does run. Bike won't run on starting fluid either.Do you here the fuel pump prime/pressure up when you turn your key on and move the stop/run switch to run?
Ohm meter, they are good."ECM and IGN fuses are good "
I hate to be that guy but....fuses good with a visual inspection or did you actually test them with a meter/test light? (I've learned a few lessons the hard way during 20+ years of wrenching)
Yes, the pump runs when the key is turned on, only if the kill switch is in the run position.Do you here the fuel pump prime/pressure up when you turn your key on and move the stop/run switch to run?

I am assuming it turns over, but just won't fire up? Start with the simple things first.
If you are still running the original battery I would guess it's life might be near the end.
6-7 years old is pretty good if it is stock and a battery tender is no guarantee.
I would use a set of jumper cables connected to your car.(car not running)
If it starts then I would conclude the battery is done and get a new quality battery.
Stock battery is a Ytz12S and this is borderline even when new.
Purchase a YTZ14S as a replacement. It is the same physical size with more cranking amps than the stock 12S.
You will notice the difference immediatley in the cranking speed.
90% of the time a super tenere cranking over but not starting is tied back to a poor performing YTZ12S.
Also take a picture of the stock battery and note the positive vs neg location before removal. It is very easy to install the battery upside down and connect the new battery backwards causing a bunch of blown fuses and more problems. That may sound stupid, but there have been more than a handful of threads on here of exactly that issue with a new battery or in the spring when the battery is reinstalled.

Thank you,welcome
Did that fuel pump still run yet no pressure? I can hear mine prime when I turn the ignition on.My bike was running fine when I parked it. Few days later it wouldn’t run. Turned out to b my fuel pump had given up sitting on the porch. Also had a starter solenoid give up without ever clicking like they usually do. Shit happens.
Wow, thanks for this, I had no idea what anything outside of the fuse boxes was as they are not labeled. I'll check that fuel injector system fuse when I get back out there. There's a fuel injector system fuse in the right side upper fuse panel. It's in position 4.
