Nope. There are China balloons, and then there are the UFOs. They claim they don't know what they are, but know they are not from China. Yeah . . . . right.
The Government ?My favorite statement: "they're probably not extraterrestrial". PROBABLY?!
Get Maverick !Another one: "A top US Air Force general said that he was not ruling out the possibility that flying objects shot down over North America could have been aliens." I'm tellin' y'all, this is the real reason for Space Force.
Are you implying she is Catholic ?I'm bettin' that's not the only body part she should be thanking though.
If she is . . . . there's a lot of gargling in her future with holy water after confession. Are you implying she is Catholic ?
Yeah, there was an article that I read, and somebody wanted to know why it didn't target the balloon where the sun was on it. I have to assume that being a missile for jet planes, that there's a minimum temperature that it is set for, and it won't be a low temp. Or there would be an issue if one was launched over a populated area. Might target my grill. This is exactly why the military didn't want to shoot down the original Chinese balloon on Feb 4. The AIM-9 Sidewinder is a heat seeker with a 20+ mile range. Although it has safety features, an errant missile not hitting the target at 60,000+ feet would coast down into airline altitudes, then the altitudes of lower airplanes, then toward chimneys and all sorts of other hot objects on the ground.
It would have essentially been looking for a hot target in an area of over 2,800 square miles!!!

We keep a few Spitfires around for this type of occurance. Costs us a few bob in gas and some lead. Much cheaper than a Sidewinder. And you get something left for scrap, so pays for the bullets, any tech, straight on ebay. This is exactly why the military didn't want to shoot down the original Chinese balloon on Feb 4.
