I started calling mine Tina. I find with any machinery I tend to call them a feminine nickname. Maybe it's so in an eventual breakdown I take it better? I really identified with the scene in Gone in 60 Seconds where Nick Cage is trying to coax the mustang (Eleanor) to restart.

This is next to Willie the Walleye in Baudette, MN

I tend to like alliteration...

Mine is "The Black Bike". I kept my FJR and it is now "The Blue Bike". I own the 2 fastest colors.

Never mattered much till I had 2 steeds at once. When guys asked what I was gonna ride I always answered as stated above, hence the names.

Back in the early 80's it was "Excessive Eleven".

Uh, the GS's boxer motor has been around for how many years? They can't talk about old fashioned. And the RT I rode sounded like a poppin' Johnny tractor. So, they have no room to talk. Of course, they do have more electronic crap that I have no use for.

If I had a black bike, her name would have to be Black Betty after that one-hit-wonder song:

Specifically, these lyrics:
Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)
She really gets me high (Bam-ba-lam)
You know that's no lie (Bam-ba-lam)
She's so rock steady (Bam-ba-lam)
And she's always ready (Bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)
