Good day all,
I joined the forum the other day and was encouraged to post a member introduction, so here goes.
I just purchased (yesterday) a 2014 Super Tenere ES. I have been riding a 2002 BMW R1150R (seen in attached picture). After riding the S10 home last night on rural roads for an hour and a half, I can say without a doubt that the S10 is a gigantic upgrade! What a treat!
The bike came with crash bars, top case, aftermarket tall windscreen (and original), and Givi monokey pannier racks. I am looking forward to outfit it with some panniers (thinking Givi Trekker Alaska - black), an aftermarket skid plate, and some auxiliary lighting. The tires on my R1150R, Shinko 705s, are more aggressive than the tires on the S10, but I won't likely change them until it's needed.
Do folks use the accessory bar for a phone holder or the handlebars? If the accessory bar, how do you attach to that thin bar (1/2 inch?).
Thank you, in advance, for the tremedous information that is already on this forum and for the info that has yet to land on it.
Regards,
POG
