This weekend trip was not quite so exciting as the last one. After the Friday overnight, early Sat down pours, I went around to the west end of the trail to see If I could get back to where we were last weekend. I was surprised to find everything dry. The road looked ok when getting off the pavement. It was all rutted, so really slippery when wet, clay base. I go maybe a mile mile and half and come to several big signs saying no trespassing/dead end. I also notice a game camera on one of the nearby fence posts. I double check my GPS and it shows, that I am on the right road. I look up the road a 100 yards and there is a big extra heavy duty motorized gate across the road. Bummer. I don't understand how people can block FS roads. There are no other roads to take so I back track & head to State Bridge then Kremmling.
This is coming out on the Kremmling side.

I head out of Kremmling on a dirt road heading towards Winter Park and run into some sort of a large dirt bike group ride/race. Everybody is heading downhill towards the Hwy so I head uphill towards what I hope is the end of the pedal bikers. Their sag truck passes by just about the same time I hit the 1 lane trail going towards Winter Park.
I had brunch at a nice little beaver pond. 2 or 3 bike stragglers go by. So I turn up the throttle a bit and come around a corner with 2 more bikers on my side of the road. Both had their eyes pop out from my surprise appearance, I jump over to the side of trail and continue on.

Up on top of the pass was a rest/aid station for the bikers. No pictures, as I was on a mission to get home before the monsoon rains came back in for the afternoon.
