Either I don't fit, or something is wrong with me as this Tenere does all that is asked of it well. Starts quickly, pulls off from a stop without a lot of revs, passes other traffic at 80+ on the nearby turnpike. Gotta have cruise, it works well. I've added more and more accessories to make it more appealing to me (good for you, $s out of my pocket), but it is just not my cup of tea.

It has; Bumot Panniers with the tool carrier mounted inside the right luggage bracket
Madstad wind screen - provides me more protection
Tail luggage box from Amazon - hide the helmet.
Tire Pressure Monitor
LED light bar under the headlights. Another inexpensive Amazon purchase.
Quick release tank bag. Has a hole in front for feeding USB cables through. Keep your gadgets charged.
Heidenau K76 tires - shod about 2k miles ago. More road oriented than the K60. The stock tires were OK but getting older with micro-cracks. Time to replace.
Yaesu battery - First week of May. The stock battery still worked fine, but at 4 years, I thought the engine should crank faster, even tho the bike never failed to start.
I have a couple of marker tail lights on the panniers to show dimensions to someone following at night. Cheesy looking and could be removed or replaced with a conventional red marker light. Weather tight screw connectors for the wires enable removal of the panniers.
Oil, brake, and clutch fluids replaced around 6K.

All electrical additions were done with plugs and jacks that fit the Tenere. I will NOT cut into stock wiring.

I've added a dash under the instruments with a switch to go between stock and dual horns (stock/polite and loud), high and low intensity LED light bar control, TPMS, Voltmeter/USB supply.

Someone fussed about adding pictures. Prior posts, one would click on a picture and the full image would appear. I hope this is what happens. I can re-post full size images.
The bike is 4 years old and has some little scratchs on the tank. I took a day long safety course and fell in a tight turn. I see no damage to anything, but did replace a side protector. Then there is the title. In Oklahoma, it shows up as a blemish on the mileage. The dealer I bought it from registered it with 1K more miles than it had, when I bought with 1K less, it created the blemish with the states' Tag Agencies.
We'll see if that asking price works.
Awesome deal! What's the installed width of the Bumots?

In Oklahoma, a purchased bike can be ridden without a tag for 15 days with the proper papers.

Apparently in Mass, no tag means instant confisication. Any ideas? Then there are the states in between.

Will you look at that U.S. map! The Ténéré has been to Kansas and Oklahoma, ONLY. My previous years' travels colored in all those states.

Texas has 30 day temp tags for $40 +/-. Doesn't OK have something similar? It also seems like we're only seeing one side of the conversation.

Interesting. Our local Tag agency is open tomorrow in the morning, I'll inquire. I presume from the state. Fifty different rules for us. I guess 51. Thanks

Just an update to the other inmates here... Me & @Conflubmw have agreed on the sale.

I also have booked my flight tickets and have the insurance on the bike starting next week... So technically this bike is 'Sold Pending Payment', But that must be announced by @Conflubmw

Me & seller have exchanged many emails and text messages and are also talking regularly sorting out details.

The issue we have is on how to legally ride the bike back . We thought and discussed the following options...
1. Fly & ride back with seller's plates... Didn't work...as @Conflubmw needs his plates to ride.
2. Use my other bikes' plates... risky as my state says it is not legal to ride with plates on another bike.
3. Use temp plates/tags (as suggested above) , but not sure of the process in Oklahoma for temp tags. @Conflubmw is gonna look into it.
4. Truck/trailer it back... more expensive for me and boring, No fun.
5. Pay now without even seeing the bike, @Conflubmw will mail the paperwork, I get it registered before I fly out to Tulsa and ride it back...

The third option is the best for both of us if it works... Else will have to try out option 5.

Is there anyone nearby who can check the bike out for me? @Conflubmw is cool with it

Favor to ask from @JJTJ2 if it is possible?

I don't know why he would need to retain the license plate. But, I also don't know OK rules. Texas does not allow plate transfer either. . . . unless it's a personalized plate that's issued to a person rather than a vehicle. Maybe leave the current plate mounted, until you get home, and registered in MA. Then, mail it back to him. Good luck.

That was my preferred option but, In Ok I believe the plate is for a person and not the vehicle. :(

sounds wrong , trade in a car the plates stay on the car . you just need the signed title and the plates on the bike and ride it home . and when home do the legal crap to get the new title and plates and enjoy the pretty new to you bike .

That because that's what we're used to. Over the years I've learned that "different states, different rules". Some of which make absolutely no sense. There's one state that only requires a front plate, no rear. Seams stupid to me.

no arguments from me .... I have a problem with the police's fixation on the license plate light .... its like barely functional when working if its not working its a ticket( or an excuse to stop) . I asked an officer one time " what you cant read my plates with your cruisers high beam " now I digress , I'm not sure why other states are stupid ( I know why ) on this subject . and make it hard to do business but they do .
sierra1 , you would have loved traffic stopping me , im good for a 20 point blood pressure rise when needed . I am polite and respectful but love free speech.
