I may be the only guy on earth who bought a T7 and disliked it. Sold it after a month, 1500 miles.
The S10 is an exponentially better machine, though the two aren't exactly apples to apples.
S10 really shines as a long distance all roads tourer. Good brakes, good suspension, 200 mile range, cruise control, shaft, comfortable, tubeless. The T7 offers none of that. It's a very basic machine and has a lot of stuff that I disliked: subpar brakes, janky suspension, tube tires, dismal range, shitty instrumentation, and really not any more confidence inspiring off road than a gen 1 KLR. Everyone says the engine is so sweet but it didn't blow my skirt up. YMMV and most people think I'm insane but... you asked...
If you can financially swing it I'd absolutely keep the S10.
I got an 890R to fill the void of the T7 and it turned out to be all the things I'd hoped the T7 would have been.
