Hit a pothole and bent my front rim today. It’s light, but enough that the tire will not hold air. I put a tube in it for now. I took it to a wheel rim shop and they said they can’t straighten it because it’s a spoke wheel. Also took it to a bicycle shop and they were able to straighten it a little bit. Do I need a new wheel? I think I do. Is it possible to just buy the hoop and put spokes and true it myself?
in the meantime, do I need to loosen and re-tighten spokes to balance it properly with weights?
thanks
