My first bike, after a long period of not riding, was a Suzuki TU250X. When I first saw the groms and z125 pros, my first thought was. "I would rather have another TU250X!". Mine was the red with silver frame (best looking version in USA)
I just bought the TU to be an around town bike. Something to commute on or run around. Turned out it was way more capable than I expected. I found myself riding to nearby towns on back roads. I suddenly had the desire to travel/tour by motorcycle. I made the mistake of trading the TU on the next bike. I sometimes think of picking up another used one, but they are not that common around here. Even though I am 6'1" and a little tall for the TU it was just simple fun. I even took it on a ride around the flint hills here with a group. Since all the roads were back roads and averaged 55mph I swear i was actually having MORE fun than the harley baggers and goldwing riders.
The CT125 above really peaks my interest if it really has the high/low transmission. When I was young teenager and learning to ride we rode CT70s and old "enduros" and thumpers. There is a strong nostalgia factor with the CT125.
Anybody following Ed March?

Can't remember his name, but remember reading another epic ride on advrider on a guy who travelled on a "postie" (CT110). Started in Australia.
