I have 40,000+ miles wearing only LD comfort base layers, weather it’s 110 in Vegas or 30 in Estes Park, I’m comfortable. Mario makes great stuff at his little factory in Washington. I also have Moto Skivies but don’t wear them at all.

I use Moto Scivviz but wear them over a baselayer. They do feel like having a nappy on though. I wear Klim riding gear which has loads of room in the Arse department. I find them very comfortable. Very hot weather may be different.

My vote goes to LD comfort. I wish I would have bought them a lot sooner.

How about Smart Wool? I've been using a 150 and 250 weight for a few months now and they are pretty darn comfortable.

I really want to like LDComfort. I have a couple of their items that I like a lot. Made a recent purchase that I need to exchange. I've sent emails to them twice now from their website and tried every day for a week now to get them on the phone. No joy. They have a great product, but their lack of customer service is offputting.

I'm a massive fan of Merino wool base layers. I have a mid-weight setup for the winter and a lightweight top and bottom for the summer. I will wear the same Merino base layers for a week straight when moto camping, and they never get crusty or stinky. For longer trips, I will bring a second pair of merino underwear to wash and rotate once a week.

I have the Halverssons ones. Merino Wool but also has Outlast in it aswell and evens out the temperature expensive but good gear. I never wear cotton anything apart from socks when on trips.
